Bad Ischl is a town to the east of Salzburg in Oberösterreich, south of the lakes of Attersee and Traunsee in the Salzkammergut. Bad Ischl is not far from Bad Aussee , and Hallstatt with its lake. The main west-east road passes to the north of Bad Ischl. The main road south to Bad Aussee passes to the east of Bad Ischl.

Cable Cars - Chair Lifts
The main cable car in Bad Ischl is the Katrin Seilbahn to the south west of Bad Ischl which takes you to the Katrinalm at 1413m.
There is also a small lift in Bad Ischl which goes to the top of Siriuskogel.
