Supporting the actuator, bolt the actuator ball joint to the moving part of the satellite dish polar mount using the spacer washer.

The centre part of the ball joint may not move easily and may not be set vertically within the ball joint. Once assembled and moved by the motor it should move smoothly.

Slide the actuator through the clamp so that the two parts of the polar mount are in line and tighten the clamp.

This is not the final position but will make it easier to fix the satellite dish and set the satellite dish polar mount to point south.

First slide the rubber sleeve over the end of the actuator.

Then bolt the clamp that comes with the actuator to the satellite dish polar mount.

Push the actuator through the clamp with the motor above the main part of the actuator.

To help set the direction of the satellite dish polar mount correctly the actuator needs to be fixed so the the two parts of the polar mount are in line.

Be careful not to rotate the ball joint of the actuator.

The actuator needs to be moved backwards and forwards through its clamp. To prevent the sharp edges of the clamp from scratching the surface of the actuator use a piece of paper to protect the surface.
