Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße is about 5 km south-east of Zell am See, at the start of the Großglocknerstraße road (107) leading south through the Hohe Tauern Nationalpark with the highest mountain in Austria, the Großglockner, to Italy. The village of Kaprun is about 5 km to the west.

Airports near to Bruck (Flughafen)

The nearest airport to Bruck is Salzburg.

Innsbruck: 160 km - 2h 00 mins

Rail Stations (Bahnhof)

There is a train station in Zell am See - about 5 km from Bruck. It is on the edge of the town next to the lake. The main line runs north to Saalfelden then west to Kitzbühel & Innsbruck, and south to Bischofshofen then north to Salzburg.

The Pinzgauer Lokalbahn (PLB) (Krimmlerbahn or PinzgauBahn) runs west from Zell am See along the Pingau valley to Mittersill. From Mittersill you can catch a bus to the Krimml waterfalls. There are a number of steam trains. (In 2002, and maybe a bit longer, it continued from Mittersill to Krimml so check as it may have re-opened!)

There are a number of bus routes to Zell am See and going along the Großglocknerstraße to the Franz-Josephs-Hohe and Heiligenblut.

There are no cable cars or chair lifts in Bruck. The nearest lifts are in Kaprun and Zell am See.
