Zell am See Walk 1

Description:

There are several places you where you can start this walk in Zell am See. Cross the railway at one of the crossings and make you way to the path on the lake side.

This is the Seepromenade. Walk south with the lake on your left  (Elisabath promenade). The path follows the lake side and turns east along a path (Seespitzstrasse) around the south side of the lake to the protected reserve. It then passes around the edge of the wildlife reserve (Seespitzstrasse then Am Schilf) along a quiet road (Karl-Vogt-Strasse) and then a path (Thomas Bernard Weg) to join the road (Seeuferstrasse) on the east side of the lake.

Head north along the pavement of the road (Seeuferstrasse) to Thumersbach, where the road heads away from the lake. Continue along the road, now Thumersbacher Strasse, which rejoins the lakeside.

Just after the road curves around the north end of the lake, turn left down the path to the lake opposite Paracelsusstrasse. Turn right and follow the path through the camping site and along the north and west sides of the lake back into Zell am See.
