The village of Mutters lies in the Tirol (Tyrol) region of Austria and is just south of Innsbruck (8 km) north of the Stubaital and the village of Telfes. The main road from Innsbruck to the Brenner Pass and Italy passes to the east of Mutters with Igls a few km further to the east.
Mutters forms part of “Innsbruck and its holiday villages” with Aldrans, Ampass, Axams, Brigitz, Ellbögen, Götzens, Gries im Sellrain, Grinzens, Igls, Kematen, Kühtai, Lans, Natters, Oberperfuss, Patsch, Ranggen, Rinn, Rum, St. Sigmund-Praxmar, Sellrain, Sistrans, Unterperfuss, Völs, Zirl.
Walking / Hiking in the Mutters Area
The local walking area is to the west of Mutters is on and around Mutterbergalm. Being close to Innsbruck with good transport connections, there are lots of possibilities around the other Innsbruck villages and the Stubai valley.

Downhill skiing is available in the Muttereralm area. Mutters is part of the Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck which covers 9 ski resorts.
